Calgary Stampede Bolly Flash Mob
Help us bring our biggest ever dose of Bollywood dazzle to Stampede this summer! Join our 10th ANNUAL STAMPEDE BOLLY FLASH MOB on July 15. With this being our 10th time taking over Stephen Avenue during Stampede, we want to go big with our largest crew yet!
No dance experience is necessary; just a desire to move and have FUN! We'll host a few group classes to teach you some simple steps to a toe-tapping piece of music, and you'll be ready to wow the downtown crowds with us in no time. There will be a registration fee of $40, but no other class fees.

As it has been for the last number of years, it was HOT on Stephen Avenue on July 13th. And unbeknown to the general public taking in the Stampede sights along the street in Calgary’s downtown, we were about to add some spice to that heat with the fourth annual Stampede Bolly Flash Mob! With over 60 participants of all ages, wearing uniform SPARQ tank tops suddenly appeared and Calgary was treated to an upbeat and energetic Bollywood number with some western flair. Our dancers worked hard at rehearsals a few weeks prior, to perfect this fun event, and ended up having such a blast. There was a great mix of people – some who had never danced before, to a number of Sparq’s seasoned professional dancers. With a great response from the audience, it was worth all the secrecy and hard work. Keep an eye on our website in early June, just in case we might be sneaky and try to put something together again...and join us!
