Sparq Productions, a leading entertainment service provider in Calgary and surrounding areas, offers a diverse range of services. The team at Sparq Productions is spearheaded by Tania Lemos and Vishal Malpuria, both veterans of the Bollywood film industry. With over 30 years of worldwide professional choreographic and directorial experience each, Tania and Vishal have worked with top-tier artists in acting, music production, and singing, including Oscar and Golden Globe winner Mr. A. R. Rahman of Slumdog Millionaire. They have had the honor of opening for Michael Jackson at his concert in Mumbai, India, and were the only Bollywood choreographers chosen to present a team for Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II at the Alberta Centennial Celebrations in Edmonton, Alberta in 2005. In 2015, they received the South Asian Excellence Award for Cultural Icon. In November 2022, they were awarded the South Asian Inspiration Award for Outstanding Achievement in Arts, Culture and Entertainment.
Milestones
Each year, Tania and Vishal direct and produce various events in the city. One of the Annual fundraising events titled ‘ONE’ is held at prestigious venues in Calgary, showcasing a mix of local artists and performance groups across various genres of dance. They are dedicated to promoting professional artistic excellence through public performances. They also produce their annual dinner galas such as HOLI HUNGAMA – Festival of Colours and DIWALI DHAMAAKA – Festival of Lights and of course the Annual Stampede BOLLY Flash Mob. They strive to elevate the profile of integrated dance within the community, providing quality opportunities and a robust platform for local artists. In addition to this they also produce their annual INCREDIBLE INDIA FEST showcasing the vibrancy of the Indian Culture.
